Earing does wood carvings like this for a living, as he is a professional wood sculptor based in Seattle. He makes many wood carvings like the one of Batman, including animals, totem poles and even players from the Seattle Seahawks. Each wood carving takes about 30 hours and is a combination of carving, sanding, chiseling, and oiling.
You can check out some of Earing’s other work on his website, where he is also selling the Batman wood carving featured in our article for an undisclosed amount. Need a very unique piece of Batman art in your yard? This might be a perfect fit. Got some Batman fan art you want to show off? Let us know and we’ll feature it on the site!
