Official Ant-Man Website Launches
By Steve Lam
Marvel Studios has launched their official Ant-Man website. It’s really bare, and I have to admit that when I first visited it, I thought Marvel was doing another gimmick. I literally went up close to my monitor and said to myself, “I know what they’re doing … Ant-Man is going to grow and we’ll see a whole slew of movie goodies.” I was doing that for a good five minutes and thought I saw some movement, but it was actually a piece of dust sliding off of my monitor. Go ahead and laugh. I’m betting that I wasn’t the only one that did that.
Other than the main page, which has the dramatic theme from the trailer playing, the bottom navigation bar has links to the trailer, a gallery, and a synopsis of the story.
Ant-Man is being directed by Peyton Reed, written by Gabriel Ferrari, Andrew Barrer, and Adam McKay, and starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Corey Stoll as Darren Cross / Yellowjacket, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Michael Peña as Luis, Judy Greer as Maggie, Tip “T.I.” Harris as Dave, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, Wood Harris as Gale, Jordi Mollà as Castillo, and Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym / Ant-Man.
Set to release in the United States on July 17, 2015, Ant-Man will close out Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
