Will Arnett was Batman at the Oscars
By Skip Harvey
There was a lot of Batman at the Oscars last night. Not only did the Batman-inspired Birdman with Michael Keaton win best picture (and best cinematography, best director, etc) but the voice of LEGO Movie Batman Will Arnett made a pretty rad cameo. The movie’s theme Everything is Awesome was part of the live performances at last night’s show, and Arnett decided that if he was going to be Batman, he might as well dress for the part. With the infamously badass Questlove as his trusty sidekick, Arnett put on a helluva show. I mean, even his batsymbol was made of LEGOs.Earlier this month Arnett expressed his wish to be the new voice of LEGO Batman in his solo films, (they are different, I promise), but now it looks like he’s gunning for Ben Affleck’s job.
