If you found your way here from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you might wonder why Thor is so high on this list. I have to admit Thor has been my favorite comic book character since my childhood, so I do take exception with how his strength has been dialed back in the films. Let’s hope that by the time Thanos shows up, they let him cut loose.

The most powerful incarnation of his is Rune King Thor. Thor is not only the strongest of the Asgardians, but at his max is as strong as any non-cosmic entity in the Marvel Universe. Thor has smashed uru (the metal his hammer is forged from), and even pulled and carried the Midgard Serpent with his bare hands. This is a creature large enough to circle the Earth multiple times.
