Amalgam Is the Only Universe to Make a Dream Crossover Happen

Amalgam Comics presented a shared DC/Marvel universe where the two properties merged two of their characters into one person. These characters first appeared in print in a 12-issue comic series that was published 1996. The company went as far as to treat the Amalgam universe as if it co-existed along side Marvel and DC during one of the prolific eras for comic books. Amalgam went even further and wrote ficititious fan letters to help give rise to the merged universe, thus creating excitement in readers of DC and Marvel alike.
