New Details on the All-New, All-Different Amazing Spider-Man
By C.T. Smith
Post Secret Wars, the “All-New, All-Different” Amazing Spider-Man will have stepped up his game to a global scale, with his company Parker Industries harboring offices all around the world. According to artist Giuseppe Camuncoli in an interview with Newsrama, the new responsibility will grant Peter a grand amount of power. I’ve gathered up what I thought were the most important details of the interview, presented below:
Even though he’s reached a new tier of the high life, Peter Parker will maintain his core principle of great power coming with great responsibility.
Expect to see Peter Parker in a suit, with a professional looking hairdo similar to the Superior Spider-Man’s style (without the cocky attitude), as he navigates the business world.
As well all know, Peter Parker’s costume redesign will make its debut.
Marvel has confirmed Parker Industries will have offices in New York, Shanghai, London and chilly San Francisco, but the European hub of Parker Industries is still in the works (suggested main hubs: England, Germany, or Camuncoli’s home of Italy).
- The new run will feature a brand new Zodiac, all sporting redesigns inspired by Gatchaman villain designs.
- Spidey will be going “worldwide” in his attempt to make the world a better place, and will try to make the world a better place with the help of Miles Morales, S.H.I.E.L.D and everyone else in the spider-family of comic books.
- And last but not least, no matter how everything changes, he’ll still be Peter Parker, “Parker Luck” included.
With Miles taking on the home front, I’m glad to see Peter Parker expanding his role in the world, and I think its a good progression in his life, those others may disagree. And from what we’ve seen so far, it doesn’t seem like he’s letting his new status go to his head, and will still be the same old Peter. We’ll have to wait and see though, because it’s a rare case for someone dealing with new resources and fame to stay humble. Also: Camuncoli’s art is always amazing when it comes to Spider-Man, and I’m glad he’s the artist this time around.
What do you think of the changes? Do you like them, or do you have your misgivings about a globe trotting Peter? Let me know in the comments below or tweet @CTsmithGaming with your thoughts.
