The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Arrive in Future Fight

Closely coinciding with the release of season 3 of Marvel’s television hit Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, the popular characters of the ABC show are sneaking into Future Fight on October 7th, 2015. As announced in this article at Variety, the update will bring fan favorites Daisy and Coulson to the mobile game.
Each of Future Fight’s updates have been connected to some part of the overarching universe. Its release was tied to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Age of Ultron, its second update was tied to the comic event Secret Wars, and their newest update brings Marvel’s TV and gaming world together. This update brings along eight new characters, and presumably a costume for current character Mockingbird. These characters are the following:
- Phil Coulson
- Daisy Johnson (Quake)
- Deathlok
- Melinda May (The Calvary)
- Lincoln Campbell (Sparkplug)
- Sif
- Raina
- Gordon
Update: There will only be 5 playable characters: Coulson, Quake, Deathlok, Sif, and Lincoln. Raina and Gordon will be boses, and May will be an NPC.
And Mockingbird will be donning her Bobbi Morse costume, the dark costume she wears while conducting her clandestine missions on the show. The 3rd season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premiered today, September 29th, 2015, and this update was intended to promote the show as well as add content to the game. Dan Buckley, Marvel’s president of TV, had this to say: “It’s always nice to get some extra publicity in the second week of the season.”
The addition of the characters mentioned above brings most of the main agents of the show to the game, with Jemma (one of the shows main scientists) already being an integral part of the main story; the only characters missing from the shows main roster is Hydra double agent Grant Ward, Bobbi Morse’s partner Agent Hunter, and Jemma’s intellectual counterpart Fitz.
As usual, this update is sure to breathe excitement into the player base of the game, although the mobile app is approaching the amount of content where a new player will find it daunting to unlock everyone –but have no fear, as the developers have added bonuses and gifts. Another interesting note is that Quake, Lincoln, Raina, and Gordon are all Inhumans, which means Black Bolt will most likely receive some new team up bonuses. Better save up your crystals, October 7th is right around the corner.
