NECA Unveils Life-Size Batman Statue

NECA has probably just unveiled the the tallest Batman figure in the history of time (at least that’s official and available for purchase). Thought we have no price or release date as of yet, this life-size Batman replica based on the Caped Crusader’s appearance in his latest video game adventure, Arkham Knight, is a whopping six feet two inches tall.

Here’s an official description of the life-size Arkham Knight Batman figure from NECA’s website:

"This actual size foam Batman replica figure is based on Batman: Arkham Knight, the final chapter in the acclaimed video game series. Standing a full 6’ 2” tall, Batman was created directly from the digital files used in the making of the game. The figure is made of foam rubber and latex that’s carefully hand-painted for incredible detail, and the finishing touch is the Dark Knight’s swirling fabric cape, tailored from mixed materials for game accuracy."

That’s a hell of a lot of foam, but at least that would make him relatively easy to move from one spot to another if you have a hard time deciding what spot your life-size Batman would look best in in your home.

Again, there currently is no price or release date for this life-size replica, so odds are it won’t start shipping until at least late next year because you can order plenty of Batman merchandise now that won’t ship until next summer.

I imagine the fact that it is made of foam keeps the price down a bit, but we are still talking enough foam to make a 6’2 replica of the Dark Knight. Add to that it’s an officially licensed replica, and it probably won’t be cheap to have this life-sized Batman in your home. We’ll keep you updated when shipping and pricing info becomes available.
