Constantine And Legends Of Tomorrow Crossover May Not Happen

The internet bringth and the internet taketh away.  It seems that the original rumor from Bleeding Cool about Constantine being a regular cast member of Season 2 of Legends of Tomorrow is being retracted … just a bit.  The site is stating that due to Legends of Tomorrow being an expensive show to produce, a Season 2 may not even happen, which negates any type of crossover or new cast members in future seasons.

"I’m hearing from another well connected source that the show is incredibly expensive and they’re not sure if they’ll go with a second season, and instead replace it with a totally different show for it."

Now, if it’s an entirely different show, could that mean we might get another team-oriented series?  Say, in the form of Justice League Dark?  Hey, this is the season for miracles, so let’s shoot for the stars.  But Bleeding Cool went on to say that any discussion of any new characters appearing in a hypothetical Season 2 of Legends of Tomorrow is just an on-going wishlist.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that Matt Ryan’s Constantine will make another appearance in some way or another.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow – Official Synopsis: When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is the newest installment in DC’s shared television universe.  The series is being developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Marc Guggenheim, and will star Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein / Firestorm, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer / The Atom, Caity Lotz as Sara Lance / White Canary, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Ciara Renée as Kendra Saunders / Hawkgirl, Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory / Heat Wave, and Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart / Captain Cold.
