By Nick Tylwalk
Supergirl fans, if you weren’t already making plans to C2E2 when ReedPOP brings it back to Chicago next year, you might want to consider doing so.
Stars Melissa Benoist (Kara Danvers / Supergirl) and Chyler Leigh (Alex Danvers) will appear together for the first time at C2E2 2016, bringing Supergirl straight to the fans with autograph sessions and a joint panel appearance. Both Benoist and Leigh will be in attendance on Saturday and Sunday of the show, which runs March 18-20 at the South Building at McCormick Place.
The entire list of entertainment guests for C2E2 2016 has yet to be announced, but already includes Edward James Olmos, who appeared in Season 2 of Agents of SHIELD. Previous editions of the con have seen the likes of Hayley Atwell, Ming-Na Wen and Chris Hemsworth make appearances.

The 27-year old Benoist has appeared on TV series like The Good Wife and Homeland before winning the role as the Girl of Steel, though she was perhaps best known for appearing on two seasons of Glee — where she acted briefly alongside TV’s Flash, Grant Gustin. Her portrayal of Kara has won her plenty of new fans, and the series was recently picked up for an entire first season.

Leigh was a series regular on Grey’s Anatomy for five seasons as Dr. Lexie Grey. On Supergirl, her role as Kara’s older foster sister is more complex than it may first appear, with Alex’s mom expecting her to look after Kara despite working for the DEO, the same organization responsible for the as yet unexplained death of her father.
You’ll want to bookmark the C2E2 website for complete details on the two actors’ schedule at the show when they are announced. Tickets for the convention start at $30 for a Friday pass and are just $65 for all three days, and are also available online.
