Lex/OS and Brother Eye Connection
One of the unique marketing strategies employed by Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been the use of in-movie promotions and treating the fans like they are part of the DC Extended Universe. A few months back, we got our first teaser of LexCorp’s newest product — Lex/OS. Knowing Lex Luthor, or should I say “Lex Luthor, Jr.”, Lex/OS will be more than meets the eye (yes, pun intended). If they’re going where I think they’re going, then this will be an ingenious move.
Did You Know?
- Brother Eye was originally called Brother MK I which was created by Batman to keep track of metahumans. Batman became distrustful of metahumans after he had his memories altered by the Justice League in the Identity Crisis storyline.
- Brother Eye is sentient. Though originally created as an artificial intelligence, the satellite went through a few evolutionary stages. Maxwell Lord reprogrammed Brother MK I to have a fear and suspicion of all metahumans. And Alexander Luthor, Jr. of Earth-Three was the one to give it sentience.
- The OMACs — cyborgs created via a virus developed by LexCorp in a joint effort with the U.S. Department of Defense — were centrally controlled by Brother Eye.
