Lois Lane’s Hair Color
Lois Lane a redhead? The only redhead in Superman’s life should be Lana Lang! Not so. Though our favorite investigative reporter is usually associated with dark hair, her hair color has changed throughout the years. In fact, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice pays homage to the character’s appearances in past comics and media, added to the fact that Amy Adams was told to keep her hair color for a very specific reason.

- From the 1980s to the 1990s, Lois Lane, in the comics, was depicted with reddish brown hair.
- Noel Neill, the actress who played Lois Lane opposite George Reeves’s Clark Kent / Superman in seasons two to six of the television series Adventures of Superman, had dark red hair. Due to the limitations of black-and-white television at the time, Neill’s hair had the illusion of being dark brown.
- Though Amy Adams wanted to dye her hair to match the more traditional Lois Lane look, director Zack Snyder insisted that she leave her hair in its natural state. Snyder believed that Lois Lane would never color her hair.
