Second Deadpool Red Band Trailer Offers More NSFW Fun

It’s not very often that the star of a superhero movie talks about turning a guy into “a f—ing kabob.” In fact, it’s never happened before. Yet it definitely does happen in the second Deadpool red band trailer, proving once again that this is going to be a very different kind of flick, one worthy of the Merc With a Mouth.

Wade Wilson may not get to drop f-bombs with abandon in the comics, but he does commit many acts of violence while cracking wise along the way. You’ll see those traits in full effect in this trailer, which we’ve embedded below. Even before he becomes Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds’ Wilson makes a quip about the initial pitch to not only cure his terminal cancer, but give him “abilities” normal men don’t have.

Alas, even in superhero movies, when something seems too good to be true, it usually is, which is why Wade emerges from the experiments done to him to find out that he’s “indestructible but completely unf—able.” A tough break, indeed.

After he decides to become a superhero, what follows is a sequence of broken bodies, arguments with the X-Men, and yes, even more jokes. If you don’t come out of this trailer thinking that Deadpool should at least be true to the spirit of its source material, I don’t know what to tell you.

As the trailer itself reminds you, Deadpool is on the way to deliver its blend of merriment and bloodshed on February 12. Can’t wait.
