Batman: Bad Blood is releasing early next year and we have a new clip for you as well!

2016 is obviously a huge year for Batman with Batman v Superman finally coming out in March, but let’s not forget that there are some highly anticipated animated Batman films coming as well. One of those is Batman: Bad Blood, which will be the first appearance of both Batwoman and Batwing outside of the comic books.

In case you need a refresher, here’s a synopsis for Batman: Bad Blood:

"Bruce Wayne is missing. Alfred covers for him while Nightwing and Robin patrol Gotham City in his stead. And a new player, Batwoman, investigates Batman’s disappearance."

Oddly enough, Batman: Bad Blood may not even have much Batman in it, as we’ve already been told it’s about how these heroes who get along well with Batman, but not necessarily each other deal with each other when he’s not around. It should make for an interesting dynamic to watch unfold. We also have a new clip, where Nightwing laments that even with Batman missing, he can’t really escape his shadow:

And we have a release date for Batman: Bad Blood as well. It will release on February 2nd for all formats. You can be rest assured that we here at Caped Crusades will get our hands on it ASAP to get a review in for you!

I’m honestly hoping Batman: Bad Blood is a turning point for DC animated movies, because frankly since they changed to characters based on the New 52 and incorporated continuity from one movie to the next, the movies have been pretty mediocre (but that’s all on the plot and writing, not on those other elements). We’ll find out in February.
