Several Marvel Comics Series Arrive Early

Marvel has a surprise New Year’s gift for all of us: several Marvel Comics books expected later in January are either in stores already or on the way the first Wednesday of 2016.

Comic Book Resources reports that multiple books were released early by the printer, meaning that Marvel is letting retailers sell them sooner as well. It makes more sense than having them sit around for a week or two, for sure.

Some of the issues were solicited for January 6 but went on sale on January 1, while others were intended for January 13 but will now be on shelves on January 6.

• Obi-Wan and Anakin #1 (of 5)
• Rocket Raccoon and Groot #1

• Spidey #2

Marvel Titles on Sale January 6 Instead of January 13

• All-New Inhumans #1 2nd printing
• Amazing Spider-Man #1.2
• Darth Vader #15
• Spider-Gwen #4
• Spider-Woman #1 2nd printing
• Totally Awesome Hulk #1 2nd printing
• Ultimates #3

Of special note among the early books are the debut of Rocket Raccoon and Groot, as well as Darth Vader #15, which is part of the ongoing “Vader Down” storyline. Enjoy the early New Year’s gifts!
