Zack Snyder Talks Wonder Woman’s Role In Batman v Superman
The director of Batman v Superman gives a few hints about what role Wonder Woman plays in the film
We may know all the major story beats in Batman v Superman thanks to that latest trailer (or maybe we don’t), but one thing that certainly remains a mystery is Wonder Woman and how big her role is in Batman v Superman. I’m pretty sure her combined screentime in the trailers is about 10 seconds. So just how does she fit in, how significant is her role to the overall film? Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder was understandably reluctant to give any major details, but did talk about her significance a little bit.
"No, she has a cameo in this movie. No, actually… it’s bigger than a cameo. She comes in and does something. The ‘Is she with you?’ joke at the end of the trailer? You have to see the movie, because it gears into the drama of what’s happening, and if you see it in the context of the film, it completely makes sense that the two of them were trying to figure out who she is. Well, they’re forced together, which you get a sense of from the trailer. They’re forced to work together."

I certainly hope that Wonder Woman is involved in a way that makes sense, because as of right now, based solely on the trailers, she seems extremely shoehorned in, like just seems to show up out of the blue for virtually no reason. Of course, merely having her in the film for a few scenes of Princess Diana of Themyscira and then appearing as Wonder Woman saying she was keeping tabs on the situation will be a pretty easy way to explain it. We’ll see for sure how she fits in and her significance when Batman v Superman opens March 25th.
