Arkham Knight has been nominated for multiple awards at this year’s DICE awards

Every year, the DICE (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) awards recognize those games that the Academy Of Interactive Arts & Sciences feel advance the industry. Arkham Knight has been nominated in several categoies this year.

Martin Rae, president of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences had this to say about this year’s DICE nominees in a press statement:

"Looking at the nominees for the 19th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards, I am especially impressed by the broad range of titles catering to gamers’ increasingly sophisticated and diverse tastes. It is always gratifying to watch our industry and its many artists and craftsmen grow and continue to challenge and thrill audiences. February 18th will be another memorable celebration of the best in interactive entertainment bolstered by the playful humor of host Pete Holmes."

Arkham Knight was nominated for Adventure Game Of The Year, Outstanding Achievement In Animation & Outstanding Achievement In Original Music Composition.

Honestly out of these three categories, the only one I think Arkham Knight stands a realistic chance of winning is Outstanding Achievement in Animation, because it was one of the best-looking console games of 2015 easy, and if you actually could get it to run smoothly on your PC, it was even more impressive. I spent many hours in Arkham Knight and didn’t find the composition particularly memorable, so I don’t think it stands a chance in that category. In the best Adventure category, I think Metal Gear V is a shoe-in due to the critical acclaim and that it’s Hideo Kojima’s final entry in that series, but even then games like Rise of The Tomb Raider & Ori and the Blind Forrest had much better critical buzz than Arkham Knight did.

The DICE award-winners will be revealed at the awards ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 18, at The Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas at the conclusion of the 2016 D.I.C.E. Summit. We’ll be sure to report if Arkham Knight wins any of the awards it’s up for.
