Harley Quinn gets a new mini-series and her own gang in Harley Quinn & Her Gang Of Harleys this April

April seems to be Harley Quinn month. We just reported on a one-shot comic starring Harley Quinn & The Suicide Squad coming out in April, and the following week a mini-series called Harley Quinn & Her Gang Of Harleys comes out.

Harley Quinn & Her Gang Of Harleys will be a six-issue miniseries. And even though Harley Quinn is certainly in it, it’s focus is actually more on her recently formed gang of henchwomen. Here’s the synopsis for Harley Quinn & Her Gang Of Harleys:

"Straight from the pages of HARLEY QUINN comes the story of her strange new army of assistants, the Gang of Harleys! In this new miniseries, they’ve been on the job for just a few months, and the Gang is ready to stand up and show what they can do without Harley…and they just might have to, because Harley’s been kidnapped! The Gang’s homes, their loved ones—they’re all in danger from a strange new villain with a very personal grudge against Harley!"

Harley Quinn & Her Gang Of Harleys #1 is out April 13th. As I said, that’s one week after the Harley Quinn and Suicide Squad one-shot, so while Harley Quinn is easily the most popular female comic book characters right now, this is clearly to help take advantage of her appearance in the upcoming Suicide Squad film. And hey, as long as the comics are entertaining, I don’t necessarily have a problem with that.
