Dan Amboyer talks a lot about Batman v Superman, but not the role he is playing in it

With all the secrecy over Jena Malone & Scoot McNairy in Batman v Superman. We’ve kind of forgotten about Dan Amboyer. Dan Amboyer has a role in Batman v Superman, but nobody truly seems to know what it is. His website lists the role as “Lt. Christie”, but that could just be a cover for his real role in the film. Otherwise why all the secrecy?

In an interview with Pop Sugar, Amboyer talks about working on Batman v Superman and working with director Zack Snyder, but is also very careful about saying anything about his role in the movie:

"It was awesome. I got there right at the beginning of shooting and it was crazy because my first day people were showing me around and all of a sudden the Superman suit comes by — and it’s giant. It’s not something you can hang up. So that was insane. But what I thought was really interesting was that they filmed a lot of it on film, not digital. So a lot of the sets were actually built. So, all of a sudden, you’re on another planet, literally. Everything is so intricate and perfect. You think so much of that is just CGI and postproduction, but it was actually there. It was interesting. He was a cool guy. I don’t know if people know this, but he’s really big about fitness on set, even as far as catering. So, he’s always encouraging healthy food, which is great. He even makes you do push-ups in between takes."

Amboyer also said that even though his character’s name is listed, that he can’t talk about it and that it’s a “undercover thing”. So who is Dan Amboyer playing in Batman v Superman?

In all likelihood, the role Dan Amboyer is playing in Batman v Superman is that of one Hal Jordan, aka Green Lantern. This has been rumored for awhile now. The biggest evidence to this being that Justice League Part One is supposed to be out next year, and Green Lanterns are supposed to figure pretty prominently in it (reportedly both Hal Jordan and John Stewart), so they have to already have at least one of those guys in mind, and Amboyer certainly looks like he could play the part. We won’t get our answer for sure until we see Batman v Superman in theaters March 25th.
