Daredevil Season 2 Trailer Shows Punisher About To Make Hell’s Kitchen Explode
By Nick Tylwalk
Frank Castle is coming, and Hell’s Kitchen is never going to be the same. That’s the biggest takeaway from the Daredevil Season 2 trailer released today by Netflix, which you can see in full below.

Just like in the comics, the TV version of the Punisher (played by Jon Bernthal) is an ex-military man who takes justice into his own hands after experiencing a tragedy that costs him his family. Unlike Daredevil, he’s willing to kill criminals to put a stop to them, something that definitely comes across in the trailer, with Castle calling Matt Murdock a “half-measure” and a coward.
The most chilling part comes toward the end, when the Punisher tells Daredevil, “You know you’re one bad day away from being me.”
Staying past the title card that announces that Daredevil Season 2 is coming on March 18 is also worth it, since you’ll get your first good look at Elodie Yung as Elektra. Though she was referenced in Season 1, her arrival can only complicate the lives of Matt and his friends, especially since Yung has stated that Elektra won’t truly be on any side but her own in the Netflix series.
Other things that jump out at you is the hint of romance between Karen Page and Murdock — which could cause more problems between Matt and best friend Foggy Nelson, who has his own feelings for Karen — and some dramatically lit fight scenes with Daredevil in the costume he only got to wear at the tail end of the first season. Also, blood. This shouldn’t be for the faint of heart.
Perhaps the best part is that there’s going to be another Daredevil Season 2 trailer on February 25. Netflix and Marvel know just how to tease fans and keep them wanting more when it comes to this series, and March 18 should already be circled on your calendar as a day to be off from work and streaming it all day long.
