When the first part of the trailer showed up earlier this month, it quickly became clear that Matt Murdock would have his hands full in Season 2 with Frank Castle, the man bringing his own brand of justice to Hell’s Kitchen as the Punisher. That would be a big enough challenge by itself, but life rarely treats Daredevil in such a straightforward fashion, so the new clip introduces another problem into the mix.

Picking up where Part 1 left off, with Elektra Natchios breaking into Matt’s apartment, we see that she’s in New York to deliver a warning. The yakuza weren’t driven out of the city, merely waiting to take advantage of the power vacuum left by Daredevil eliminating their rivals.

When you watch the whole trailer below, you’ll also see signs of tension between Matt and law partner/BFF Foggy Nelson (of course), signs of Matt’s self-doubt over whether his approach to crimefighting is working (double of course!), and ninjas. Lots of ninjas.

Plus more Punisher, because Frank isn’t about to just sit back and let Matt have all the fun. Like we said, it’s always complicated for Daredevil.
