Mr. Freeze” — the mid-season premiere of Fox’s Gotham launched the series into its new storyline: “Wrath of the Villains.”  We started right off with Jim Gordon being cleared of any wrongdoing in the death of Theo Galavan.  However, Captain Barnes still has his suspicions and is now taking a closer look at Jim’s past and present activities.  Meanwhile, multiple murders involving victims being frozen are popping up all over city.

Jim and Harvey’s investigation into these “freezing” deaths yield no real viable leads until the man responsible, Victor Fries, slips up due to having a bad day.  They quickly discover his wife’s name, Nora, on a prescription and pay her a visit.  They bring Nora down to GCPD for questioning, but she’s found to be uncooperative.

On the Penguin front, the death of Theo Galavan’s death has been pinned on the Bird Man.  Living among the homeless for months, Penguin is finally brought in by Barnes.  However, he’s quickly transferred to Arkham Asylum where he meets Hugo Strange, who sets him up in a program to be rehabilitated.

What does Strange have in store for Penguin?  Will Jim and Harvey catch the murderous Victor Fries before he claims another life?  This week’s new episode may answer those questions.  Here’s the official synopsis for “Wrath of the Villains: A Dead Man Feels No Cold”:

"As Gordon, Bullock and Barnes continue the search for Victor Fries (guest star Nathan Darrow), they are forced to look to his wife, Nora (guest-star Kristen Hager), for help. Meanwhile, Penguin is introduced to Hugo Strange (guest star BD Wong), and Alfred reveals some crucial information to Bruce about his parents’ murderer."
