Daredevil: Punisher Costume Revealed In Poster

Fans who were originally disappointed that Frank Castle might not be getting his iconic skull-emblazoned uniform can rest assured now. Marvel’s Daredevil released its latest poster showing the trio of heroes (maybe I should say antiheroes?) — Daredevil, Elektra, and Punisher — ready to do battle. But unlike other images of The Punisher, we see the hardcore vigilante looking very similar to his comic book incarnation.

Season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil is being executive produced by Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez, replacing previous showrunner Steven S. DeKnight.  Both Petrie and Ramirez also served as writers for the first season.  Returning cast members include Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / Daredevil, Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggie” Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple.  New additions to Season 2 include Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle / The Punisher, Élodie Yung as Elektra Natchios, and Stephen Rider as Blake Tower.  Guest stars will include Scott Glenn as Stick and Peter McRobbie as Lantom.  Bullseye is also slated to appear, but has not been cast yet.

Daredevil is one of four Marvel/Netflix shows centered around events taking place in Hell’s Kitchen.  The other three will be Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones.  Like the cinematic universe, all four characters from each show will later converge together in a miniseries event called The Defenders — another superhero team akin to The Avengers.

All episodes of Marvel’s Daredevil Season 2 are set to premiere on Friday, March 18, 2016 on Netflix.
