Spider-Man: Marvel Cinematic Universe Characters To Appear

Perhaps calling Kevin Feige the “Godfather of the Marvel Cinematic Universe” is the wrong title. Maybe a better title would be “The Franklin D. Roosevelt of the United Marvel Universe.” Why? Like how President Roosevelt created the United Nations, Mr. Feige has united Marvel Studios and Sony — a once staunch rival against the Disney-owned cash cow.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Feige told the magazine that he has big plans to have players from the Marvel Cinematic Universe venture into Spider-Man’s series of films and vice versa.

"He is in the universe now, and the fun of the universe is that characters go back and forth."

Other than that, Feige is remaining tight-lipped on who from the MCU will actually appear. That’s when EW reached out to Joe Russo — co-director, with his brother Anthony, of the upcoming Captain America: Civil War — for some more information. However, it seems that the Marvel cabal is in sync when it comes to secrecy because Russo responded with something ridiculous.

"Let’s just say … Great Lakes Avengers."

Okay, we won’t ask anymore. At least we know that when it does happen again, it’ll be awesome and grand. Like they say, “Good things come to those who wait.”

Spider-Man will make his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the highly anticipated Captain America: Civil War.
