Agents Of SHIELD Season 3, Episode 16 Synopsis: “Paradise Lost”

“Spacetime” had the team attempting to extract an Inhuman, Charles Hinton, who was able to see a person’s future after a simple touch. Well, Hydra got to him first, but not before Hinton was able to give Daisy a vision of her and SHIELD’s future. The team was soon on a mission to prevent it (though Fitz did state that future events cannot be changed, as demonstrated by his stack-of-papers model).

This is SHIELD, so they were able to pull off the impossible. However, Hinton couldn’t be saved. He did, though, give Daisy one last vision: the famous flash-forward scene of someone, affiliated with SHIELD, on board a spacecraft that eventually explodes. Is this Daisy? Whatever it is, Hinton’s visions are what will happen, not what may happen.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that ~~Cobra Commander~~ Gideon Malick also got a quick glimpse of a future death. Was it his own? Christina has some speculations about it in her illuminating article. Whatever it is, we just might find out in this week’s episode. Here’s the official synopsis for “Paradise Lost”:

"S.H.I.E.L.D. hunts for information on their dangerous new enemy, and a shameful secret from Malick’s past is exposed, threatening to destroy his Hydra legacy."
