Will Smith Wants To Be in Batman. As Batman!
Suicide Squad star Will Smith has an interesting idea on how he’d be in a Batman movie
A rumor came up a while ago that a Batman solo movie was being made, but it would be a movie where Batman teamed up with Deadshot. Seeing as a Batman movie is certainly in the works, but the script doesn’t seem to be finished yet, that rumor obviously is not true.
Will Smith, however, is playing Deadshot in the upcoming Suicide Squad film. Will Smith jokingly said that he would love to be in a Batman film, but as his Suicide Squad character Deadshot taking over the role of Batman!
"There was one of the comics when Bruce Wayne got injured and I think Deadshot for a couple of them came in and he had to throw on the Batsuit. So I’m just saying: if they’re going to draw on that, I wouldn’t reject it….I’m a team player."

I like Will Smith’s enthusiasm, but he’s just a tad mistaken. While plenty of people have temporarily filled the role of Batman such as Jean-Paul Valley (Azrael), James Gordon and Batman even had Harvey Dent protect Gotham for a time after an operation seemed to subdue the Two-Face persona completely. But not Deadshot. Probably because Deadshot has never been a good guy, he’s a cold-blooded murderer who has occasionally done the right thing.
None of this rules out Will Smith popping up in a solo Batman movie, but definitely not as Batman. Whether or not he returns to the role of Deadshot for Suicide Squad 2 or any other movie might depend on the reception to his role after Suicide Squad opens in theaters August 5th.
