Robbie Amell Wants To Be TV’s Batman!

Robbie Amell wants to come back to DC TV as the Caped Crusader!

Ben Affleck is Batman on the big screen. And he’s great, I see no reason to replace him. But as Warner Bros. has firmly established that the DC universe represented on many TV shows (mostly on the CW) is a completely different universe from the movies, will we ever see a Batman on TV (Gotham is pre-Batman and probably will end right when suits up for the first time, so it doesn’t count)?

Odds are there have been discussion after discussion on this. Most important of all, you’d have to get just the right actor for the part. But former Flash cast member Robbie Amell as the perfect idea who would be great as a Batman for TV: Himself!

But of course Robbie Amell has already been on the Flash. As two separate characters. Who both died. So how would that even work? Let the former other half of Firestorm himself explain:

"I’m already dead [on Earth-1 and Earth-2], so why not? Earth-3 — there’s Batman! And he looks a hell of a lot like Ronnie Raymond"

Robbie Amell also said he’d like to show up on Supergirl (his fiance Italia Ricci plays Silver Banshee), so obviously he still has a lot of love for DC shows and wants to stay involved with them even if they seem to keep killing him off.

I really like this idea if for no other reason tan the cast from any CW show could run into him and be all “this guy looks really familiar!”. And I think Robbie Amell is a very entertaining actor, so he’d probably be good for a CW level Batman (who let’s face it, doesn’t need to be as good as Batman on the big screen). One caveat though, I don’t care what Earth e comes from, he needs to be Bruce Wayne, not Ronnie Raymond. Bruce Wayne should always be Batman in any dimension. Maybe a different Batman, but always Batman.
