Will Smith Teases Awesome Suicide Squad Ending
Will Smith thinks the end of Suicide Squad is pretty cool
Will Smith is really filling his role well as hype man for Suicide Squad at this year’s CinemaCon. At the event, he talked about how David Ayer has approached the film as well as the approach to Smith’s character Deadshot. And without going into spoilers, he talked about the ending of the film, which was Smith’s favorite part of Suicide Squad:
"It was really great to play this particular character with this particular group of people with this director. David Ayer, he’s created this big, gigantic world – this Batman world. But he was also only focused on the characters. so, to do the level of character work that he was willing to do with understanding an assassin and then how that assassin interacts with the Joker and Harley Quinn… It was a great… It wasn’t just fun in terms of the little boy elements of running around, jumping, and shooting. It was fun to treat Deadshot like a real person. The ending of the movie is – spoiler free – the ending of the movie is a really unique way to have everybody collide. I’d never been in a scene like this with as many different elements as take place in the final sequence. It’s very cool."

What Will Smith is saying about the end of Suicide Squad definitely implies that all the key players will be involved in climax, meaning whoever is left of the Squad at that point (maybe everyone?), Amanda Waller, Joker and even Batman may be present. It’s also interesting that he calls it a “Batman world” as many of the films villains are tied to Batman but not all of them. Hopefully the ending of Suicide Squad and the whole movie is pretty awesome, it certainly is looking that way so far. Suicide Squad opens in theaters August 5th.
