Batman Put All Of The Suicide Squad Away

Batman personally captured every member of The Suicide Squad!

We know Batman has been a busy, busy crime fighter. Trying to take out Superman, then helping him beat Doomsday, while still having time to fight the Joker in Suicide Squad (and Deadshot!). But it’s not just villains that are part of Batman’s regular rogues gallery Batman has crossed paths with. Suicide Squad actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays Killer Croc in the film, confirms the long-running rumor that the Caped Crusader is responsible for the capture of every single member of the Suicide Squad:

"All of these so-called villains are villains that Batman has had some history with and caught and brought into Arkham Prison. So whether it comes before or after I’m not sure, but I do know we’ve all been captured by him and imprisoned in Arkham, so we’ve all got a gripe to bear against the ol’ Bat."

Akinnuoye-Agbaje also wouldn’t say definitively whether not Killer Croc and Batman throw down in Suicide Squad, but seemed to vaguely hint that you’d see a confrontation between the two.

It’s not surprising that Batman put guys like Killer Croc and Deadshot behind bars. But Captain Cold is a classic Flash villain, and most of the others aren’t really foes of any particular villain (I mean, does anyone even care enough to capture Slipknot?). It would be great if Suicide Squad opened with a brief scene of Batman capturing each villain as a way to introduce them and then of course he occasionally shows up to mess with them during their mission, because there is no way Batman is ok with a team of supervillains running around under the orders of Amanda Waller. Suicide Squad opens in theaters August 5th.
