DC Universe Online Coming To Xbox One Soon
DC Universe Is Coming To The Xbox One Very Soon
For better or for worse, superhero games are few and far between these days. One of the only ways to really experience the DC universe in video game form for years outside of the Batman Arkham games has been the long-running MMO, DC Universe Online. DC Universe Online is a game that allows you to create your own hero and villain and interact with the best heroes and worst villains of the DC Universe. And while it’s been available on PS3, PS4 & PC for a long time, the game is finally making the jump to Xbox One in the near future as revealed in this new trailer that dropped today:
Unfortunately, we don’t have any further information on a release date for DC Universe Online for the Xbox One, but it is coming. Now, on the downside , despite all of the Xbox talk of wanting to have cross-platform play, DC Universe online will not support that. It also will not allow you to transfer your character data, so if you have characters on the PS3, PS4 or PC versions on the game, you won’t be able to use them in the Xbox One version. That is kind of a bummer.
Next: Batman Arkham HD Collection
Honestly this definitely has me jonesing to fire up DC Universe Online again. I was actually really into the game for about 6/7 months when it first came out (and that’s when they still charged a monthly fee for it) and then mostly fell off. It’d be interesting to see how it’s changed over the years. It’s not a whole lot different from most other MMOs out there, but a DC spin on things should be enough for most comic fans to check it out. We’ll be sure to update this story on DC Universe Online coming to the Xbox One when it gets an actual release date.
