The Flash Season 2, Episode 19 Synopsis: “Back To Normal”

“Versus Zoom” had The Flash finally meeting the speed demands to go up against the evil Zoom, and we also got a backstory for Hunter Zoloman — that is, a cold-hearted serial killer who, as a child, saw his father murder his mother. The reason Zoom’s Jay Garrick wears a metal helmet is because that helmet, minus the wings, was the last thing given to him by his father. Yeah, kind of twisted if you ask me.

With Cisco’s help, the team opens up a breach to Earth-2 where Zoom speeds out and faces off with the Flash. Seeing that the Flash has improved, Zoom is ever more determined to get his speed. To that end, Zoom kidnaps Wally and uses him as a bargaining chip: Zoom will trade Wally for Barry’s speed.
Barry agrees and has Harrison use a contraption to extract the Speed Force from him. Right after attaining what he wanted, Zoom attacks Barry, ready to kill him. Caitlin pleads to Zoom to spare Barry’s life. In the end, Zoom decides to abduct Caitlin instead.
This week, a powerless Barry must face off against Griffin Grey, a meta-human with super strength. Here’s the official synopsis for “Back to Normal”:
"A meta-human with super strength named Griffin Grey (guest star Haig Sutherland) mistakes Harry (Tom Cavanagh) for Earth-1 Harrison Wells and kidnaps him, demanding that Wells cure him from his current condition. Realizing another brilliant Wells could help track Griffin’s location, Barry asks Jesse (guest star Violett Beane) to help. Meanwhile, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) corners Joe (Jesse L. Martin) about The Flash."
