Legends Of Tomorrow Season 1, Episode 13 Synopsis: “Leviathan”
By Steve Lam
“Last Refuge” — the twelfth episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow had the team going up against a deadly assassin named the Pilgrim. The Pilgrim’s strategy in taking out the Legends was to track down and execute their younger versions, which prompted the team to quickly devise a plan that involved abducting these younger counterparts.

Along the way, the team came face-to-face with their pasts and attempted to correct some wrongs. In Jax’s case, that meant reconnecting with a father who had died weeks after his birth. Risking the timeline, Jax revealed to his father that he would die in war, and warned him to stay safe.
The mysterious Rip also had some secrets revealed about him. To keep the younger versions of the team safe, he had them reside in a place known as the Refuge — an orphanage he grew up in. When the Pilgrim threatened the families of the Legends, Rip used his own younger self as a bargaining chip. Little did the Pilgrim and the others knew, the young Rip actually had fierce survival skills. As the young Rip ferociously fought the Pilgrim, the rest of the Legends were able to get an upper hand and defeat the assassin.
With their younger selves taken out of the timeline, time has already begun to set. This accelerated deadline forces Rip to go after Vandal Savage at the height of his power in 2166. This week, the Legends will make a final attempt at killing Vandal Savage. Here’s the official synopsis for “Leviathan”:
"Rip (Arthur Darvill) takes the team to London in the year 2166, three months before his family is killed. He believes this to be their final opportunity to take out Savage (Casper Crump) who is, unfortunately, at the height of his power. However, the team discovers two key elements to defeating him – Savage’s daughter (guest star Jessica Sipos) and the means to kill Savage once and for all. Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Sarah Nicole Jones & Ray Utarnachitt."
