The Love Triangle

One of the least interesting aspects of Supergirl Season 1 was the love triangle between Kara, James Olsen and Winn Schott, which was never much of a triangle when you come right down to it. Most of the time it was just awkward and felt like it was tacked on because the writers felt it had to be there.

What was even worse however was that when the Kara/James relationship finally turned into something, it was incredible anticlimactic. We all knew it was going to happen and most of the time we were simply wondering why it was taking so long for the two of them to finally get together.

If the writers keep Kara and James together next season, they need to add some fireworks to the relationship or it is going to be insufferable to watch. Adding Lucy Lane could make it interesting, but I’m not sure how much she could help.

And on a purely personal note, he will always be Jimmy Olsen to me, not James.
