Agents Of SHIELD Season 3, Episode 19 Synopsis: “Failed Experiments”

This week on Agents of SHIELD, the team races against the clock after discovering what Hive’s true plans are for humanity.

In “The Singularity” on last week’s Agents of SHIELD, the team regrouped and recovered from Hive infiltrating their headquarters via a mind-controlled Daisy. And the team of FitzSimmons sought out a transhumanist scientist to see how he could assist in freeing Daisy from Hive’s control.

As FitzSimmons raced against the clock, we saw Hive gain even deeper control over Daisy. It was soon discovered that Hive’s influence over Inhumans is similar to a drug high — making Hive’s minions feel a sense of euphoria and belonging.

As FitzSimmons found the scientist, Hive and his newly

recruited

influenced team of Inhumans, including Daisy, intercepted SHIELD’s efforts. In a heartbreaking scene, Daisy chokes Fitz and warns him to not look for her again. If he does, she’ll kill him. Outside, Hive has a conversation with Jemma where he uses Will’s memories to seriously up the creep factor.

One of the biggest developments coming out of this episode is actually the relationship between Fitz and Simmons, who have finally made it official that they’re a couple. Although Christina and fans of FitzSimmons are worried that the cosmos won’t let them have this happiness for long.

This week, SHIELD continues to battle Hive and attempt to save their dear friend and comrade from the clutches of this powerful and deadly Inhuman. Here’s the official synopsis for “Failed Experiments”:

"Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team race to combat Hive’s control over the Inhumans, as their enemy’s deadly plan for the human race is revealed."
