#5 – Receiving the Super-Soldier Serum

Even before Steve Rogers became the greatest patriot the world has ever known, he embodied a willpower like no other. This perseverance to push through any challenge is fully exemplified on the day of his transformation into Captain America.
Given an injection of Super-Soldier Serum, Steve is placed into a casket-like incubator. After being lowered into a chamber, Steve is bombarded with a dose of Vita-Rays that activate the serum and transform him on a cellular level. The procedure is easier said than done, as Steve screams out in pain.
When a worried Peggy Carter commands the scientists to shut down the machines, Steve yells out, “I can do this!” Withstanding the torturous experience, Steve emerges from the chamber as the ultimate soldier. Some may say that was the day Captain America was created, but we all know that Steve always embodied the best qualities of a hero. So on that day, Captain America actually emerged.
