A Lamborghini was converted into the Batmobile for the Gumball Rally

What the heck is the Gumball 3000? Think of it as kind of a touring car rally that happens once a year. It was started in 1999 and is a motor rally that covers over 3,000 miles, all taking place on public roads using street legal vehicles.

Not surprisingly, many make cool custom vehicles for use in this event, but this year for the Gumball Rally, Team Galag went the extra mile, spending over 12 months converting a Lamborghini into a custom Batmobile. They did apparently originally try and go with the “Tumbler” Batmobile design from the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight Trilogy of Batman films, but that just didn’t work out. Instead what they went with is a design based on how the Batmobile looks from the game Batman: Arkham Knight, which released on PS4, Xbox & PC last year.

In this video below, you get a pretty extensive look at this Lamborghini-turned-Batmobile. It goes over all the features such as a carbon body, how the mirrors are housed and how there are cameras inside because realistically the driver can’t really see anything otherwise. And of course you get to see this Batmobile in action as well:

No word on if this real life Batmobile has tasers to knock out pedestrians (or concussion missiles for that matter). The Gumball Rally this year goes from Dublin to Bucharest, so you might even see it on the streets if you happen be wherever the Gumball Rally is taking place this year. Street legal Batmobiles are obviously nothing new, but this is definitely the first one based on a video game and probably can whoop all the others out there in a street race as it’s built for some very serious driving.
