Agents Of SHIELD Season 3, Episode 20 Synopsis: “Emancipation”

This week on Agents of SHIELD, the team moves ahead to register Inhumans due to the fallout from Captain America: Civil War.

In “Failed Experiments” on last week’s Agents of SHIELD, we discovered Hive’s origins and visited his first host’s primitive past–where Kree Reapers abducted him and made him into the first Inhuman. Hive soon revealed his plans to his Inhuman team: make all of humanity into Inhumans, regardless if individuals have the Inhuman genome for it.

Out agents scrambled to find Daisy and discovered that she may have purposely allowed herself to be captured on camera. They mount a mission to assassinate Hive, using the latest and greatest that SHIELD has to offer. Arriving at the location, they witnessed Hive’s other “hidden” plan: signaling and bringing the Kree Reapers. Why? Kree blood is needed for his ultimate plan to work.

Hive then sent Daisy to retrieve living Kree blood. While doing so, she runs into Mack who implored her to allow SHIELD to help her. Mack, not giving up, disintegrated the Kree Reaper, taking away Hive’s chances of attaining any usable blood. Daisy–angered and cementing her loyalty to Hive–proves that she has truly turned to the Dark Side by almost killing Mack. At the end, the Agents retreated and Daisy offered her own blood to Hive.

This is the last week before the season finale. With SHIELD being affected by the events of Captain America: Civil War, things have escalated quite a bit in the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here’s the official synopsis for “Emancipation”:

"With only two episodes left before S.H.I.E.L.D. loses one of their own, Daisy’s prophecy ticks closer towards a major loss, as the aftermath of the events of “Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War” force S.H.I.E.L.D. to register the Inhumans, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” TUESDAY, MAY 10 (9:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on the ABC Television Network."
