Clayface Is Coming To Gotham!

Season two of Gotham has been loaded with crazy villains. It has been in fact the rise, and then wrath of some would even say supervillains. But of course, for the most part, Batman’s gallery of villains isn’t all that super in terms of crazy powers or anything. Mr. Freeze is just another dude once you take away his cold gun. Azrael is a super skilled assassin, but still human without any special powers. Penguin is really just a dude with a bird fetish who likes to murder people. Crazy? Most definitely, but most super villains (with a few notable exceptions) have super powers of some kind.

Clayface is one of Batman’s few real supervillains in that he cannot be stopped by any normal means and has some scary ass powers that potentially make him Batman’s deadliest foe. And he’s coming to Gotham!

In Gotham, Clayface will be the original, Basil Karlo. Just a guess, but it doesn’t seem like the origin story will be exactly the same, but that’s fine because Basil’s origin story is a little silly and convoluted. Clayface will make his first appearance in Gotham in the episode “A Legion Of Horribles”, and is one of Dr. Hugo Strange’s “guests” at Indian Hill. “A Legion Of Horribles” is set to air May 16, that is just a week before the season finale of Gotham, and will also feature the return of Jada Pinkett Smith as crime boss Fish Mooney.
