The Winter Soldier Is A Fan Of Batman v Superman
Sebastian Stan thought Ben Affleck was incredible as Batman in Batman v Superman
Sebastian Stan is easily one of the big breakout stars of the Marvel cinematic universe, as the Winter Soldier, a ruthless assassin who has been the lynchpin of two of Marvel’s best films (Winter Soldier and the recently released Civil War). Stan previously had somewhat dismissive thoughts previously on Batman v Superman, where he claimed they were simply trying to remake a Christopher Nolan movie, and Civil War comparatively, was doing something different (to be fair, this was directly in response some dismissive attitudes Zack Snyder expressed towards Marvel movies in general).
But now, Sebastian Stan has actually seen Batman v Superman, and though he proudly proclaims to be a “Marvel guy”, he has some pretty high praise for it, especially of Ben Affleck as Batman:
"I enjoyed it. I think visually it was insane. I thought Ben Affleck was an incredible Batman. I thought that fight sequence he had against all the guys, that was sick. Even Jesse Eisenberg was cracking me up at some points. That’s all I got."

It’s definitely nice to hear some praise from the “competition” rather than stoking the fanboy fires. Stan also said he thinks Batman v Superman is primarily to get to Justice League. Does that mean once we get to Justice League, everything will be awesome in the DCEU and we can really start enjoying DC movies? I actually kind of hope it happens a little sooner than that, as Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman are on the way before Justice League and I hold a lot of hope for those films, particularly as Zack Snyder is not involed with them. Captain America: Civil War is in theaters now.
