X-Men: Apocalypse – The Emerging Powers Of Cyclops

To all bullies: be careful who you chase into the bathroom because the guy in the stalls may be a future member of the X-Men.

We all wanted to do this in high school, and its probably something that gets relived in our recollecting I-wished-I-could’ve minds everyday. The scene: you’re being picked on and eventually chased into the bathroom where you hide in a stall. The bully incessantly knocks on the stall doors, trying to threaten you into coming out. Then, out of the blue, you release a powerful concussive blast from your eyes. Me-1, Bully-0.

That similar scenario is portrayed in the newest clip from X-Men: Apocalypse. Scott Summer’s–the future Cyclops–is experiencing the emerging of his mutant powers. A bully mistakens Scott’s annoying eye irritation as flirting with his girlfriend. After being followed into the restroom, Scott unleashes his mutant powers and devastates the jock. From the words of the great Ace Ventura, “Do not go in there! … Whoa!”

Aside from that cool, instant-karma scene, we also get a review of the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past–an exposition that is hidden as a class lecture at the beginning of the clip.
