Harley Quinn Best Character In Suicide Squad

Margot Robbie is extremely happy about her role in Suicide Squad

Suicide Squad will feature a number of DC characters on the big screen for the first time ever. Easily the biggest of these is the super popular Harley Quinn, who started life on the 1990s Batman: The Animated series, but became so incredibly popular that she is easily the top DC female character these days and arguably the top female comic book character period. Playing her for the first time in Suicide Squad is obviously a huge amount of pressure, but actress Margot Robbie wouldn’t trade it for any other role in the film:

"I thought that I had the best character in the movie. I wouldn’t trade my character in Suicide Squad for anyone else’s."

Of course, it is quite easy for Margot Robbie to say that, it is her character after all (and it has to be better than spending hours in the makeup chair to be Killer Croc). But there is likely some truth to the statement as well. Most of the cast of Suicide Squad seems to be having a good time in the trailers, but Harley Quinn definitely stands out. And let’s face it, even if she wasn’t an extremely popular character in the comics, out of all the characters in the film, she’s the one most likely to spawn a franchise and get her own movie. The only other character I can even see that as a possibility with is Deadshot, and Will Smith is arguably playing the most normal character of the group, so he’d really have to stand out. Is Harley Quinn the best character in Suicide Squad? We will find out for sure when it opens in theaters August 5th.
