Tara Strong Would Love A Cameo In Harley Quinn Movie
One of Harley Quinn’s voice actresses wants even just a small part in her in-development film
Harley Quinn is set to make her big screen debut this August in the Suicide Squad movie. But before that, she was of course most well-known for her various animated appearances (she did get her start in Batman: The Animated Series after all). And while Harley Quinn has had various voice actors in various roles over the years, two in particular really stand out in fans’ minds as ones distinctly tied to Harley Quinn. That being Arleen Sorkin, who voiced the character from her very first appearance and has done so off and on throughout the years, and Tara Strong, who voiced Harley Quinn in the majority of the Batman: Arkham video game series (Sorkin voiced her in Asylum, but Strong did the rest of the games) and currently is the voice of Harley Quinn in the DC Superhero Girls web show.
One thing that’s always a fun Easter egg for fans in a comic book film is nods to a character’s history. Whether it’s previous costumes, well known stories or even having the creator or a previous actor who filled the role show up in the film if that’s possible. Upon the announcement of a Harley Quinn-centered film in development, Tara strong tweeted that she would very much like a Stan Lee-esque cameo role in the film:
Next: Geoff Johns & Jon Berg To Run DC Films
While the rumors are that this won’t be a Harley Quinn solo movie and more a general DC female Superhero film, it’s definitely going to be focused around Quinn, so a few fun nods to her past would make sense. It would of course be doubly awesome if both Tara Strong and Arleen Sorkin had a cameo in the film. But we won’t know how likely something like that is until we hear more about it. But the best way to make sure something like this happens is showing up for Harley Quinn’s big screen debut in Suicide Squad, out in theaters August 5th.
