DC All Access: Preacher Arrives On AMC

As Preacher gets ready to premiere on AMC this Sunday, DC All Access takes a look behind the scenes with the cast and crew.

As someone who read Preacher when the series was first published, I can say that I never in a million years thought I would see a live-action adaption of the book.

Written by Garth Ennis and drawn by Steve Dillon, Preacher was unapologetically not politically correct and most times just out and out offensive. I would go so far as to say that a comic like Preacher would have a hard time even finding a publisher if it came out today.

Of course, none of that changes the fact that Preacher was a brilliantly entertaining comic that made readers think and has become a classic of the medium for good reason.

Now after years in development hell, AMC is getting ready to debut the first episode of Preacher this coming Sunday. Already being called one of the best new shows to hit the airwaves, producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are promising a series that fans of the comic will love while also bringing onboard a whole new group of fans.
