Four Exclusive X-O Manowar #50 Teasers
By Matt Conner
X-O Manowar #50 will have fifty artists working on an unprecedented cover, and Bam Smack Pow has four exclusive looks for you!
X-O Manowar was the first title of the modern Valiant era, and over the past five years writer Robert Venditti has sent the armored Visigoth king to Planet Death, pitted him against Valiant mainstays Ninjak and the Eternal Warrior, and put him front and center against the planetary destruction of the Armor Hunters. This fall, the writer says goodbye to Valiant’s flagship character, and he’s saying goodbye in style.
X-O Manowar #50 will have a jam cover uniting fifty artists to commemorate the finale of Robert Venditti’s 56-issue run on the character. The publisher is releasing exclusive looks before sharing the completed cover tomorrow, and Bam Smack Pow has exclusive previews of the contributions from the following artists:
Stephen Mooney, who has done covers for Valiant and interiors for Half Past Danger at IDW
Ryan Winn, inker of best-selling Valiant series Divinity
Adam Gorham, interior artist for the Valiant miniseries Dead Drop, which included X-O Manowar in its eclectic rotating cast
Al Barrionuevo, interior artist on The Authority for DC Comics
