Batman Samsung Galaxy S7 Hints At Injustice 2?

A Batman Samsung Galaxy S7 has been announced

Despite Batman v Superman, Batman remains super popular. So popular, the Dark Knight is getting his own themed Samsung Galaxy S7, and it doesn’t even tie into the movie or any of the comic books. No, if anything this Batman Samsung Galaxy S7 seems to be tied to of all things the Injustice: Gods Among Us fighting game.

If you need your memory jogged, Injustice: Gods Among Us is a fighting game that featured an alternate history where Superman killed the Joker and went evil. If you’ve seen the episodes of the Justice League animated series involving The Justice Lords, it’s basically like that (but way darker).

The Batman Samsung Galaxy S7 is promoted as as a “new device for battle against the Gods Among Us”, specifically referencing that game.

But why such a thing now? Injustice: Gods Among Us is several years old at this point. Unless, there’s a sequel coming. Then it definitely starts to make a little more sense. E3, the biggest video game conference of the year, is happening in just a few weeks. We could easily see an announcement about Injustice 2 then. There aren’t really any further details on the Batman Samsung Galaxy S7 phone itself yet, not even how it will be Batman-themed or a release date.

I really loved Injustice: Gods Among Us. I actually bought it twice because I badly needed something I would actually enjoy out of that horrible selection of PS4 launch titles. If there is an Injustice 2 announced, I am really hoping it comes to consoles and not just mobile platforms, as we’ve been sorely lacking in good superhero games of any kind aside from Arkham Knight the last several years.
