TellTale’s Batman Game At E3

We will finally actually see Telltale’s Batman game in action at E3

The Summer of 2016 seems to be packed with Batman games. There is of course the return to Arkham Remaster, but also the rumored Arkham Knight Game Of The Year Edition. And then there’s Telltale’s Batman game that is reportedly coming this Summer as well, but we’ve heard and seen almost nothing about it.

Apparently that will finally change at next week’s huge gaming show, E3.Telltale’s Head Of Communications, Job Stauffer, tweeted out that the Batman game (simply titled “Batman”) is definitely coming out this Summer and though he didn’t outright say it, heavily hinted that we would finally see the game in action at next week’s E3 Expo.

It is not noted when the game will be shown off. It could easily be at Sony or Microsoft’s big conference, or it could just be on the show floor during the several days E3 is happening next week.

It would be great if Telltale’s Batman game was one of those E3 surprises where it’s available immediately if not shortly after being shown. One thing we do know about this latest Telltale game is that it will be sporting a brand new engine, which is long overdue, as the engine for previous Telltale titles never ran that well to begin with, and was really showing it in the last couple of years. As most Batman games have been a lot more action-focused, it will be interesting to what Telltale does with the character. Will we actually get to explore the life of Bruce Wayne, who is often pretty much ignored in the video games? Will the game do a good job of exploring the detective side of Batman when other games really haven’t? We’ll hopefully find out all this and more sometime next week during E3.
