Telltale’s Batman game will be episodic with 5 chapters
Hours before it’s unveiling later today, Telltale sent out an email with a press release, screen shots and some of the cast of their upcoming episodic Batman game, simply titled “Batman”. Batman will be coming to Xbox One, PC & PS4 as a digital product, with a release sometime this Summer (the actual release date may be revealed later today), and be a episodic game like most Telltale products, consisting of 5 episodes. All episodes will also be released as a physical disc somewhere down the line. Here’s a press release and some screenshots of the game featuring Batman, Catwoman and Bruce Wayne:
"We’ve been hard at work at Telltale creating an all-new iteration of the iconic Batman story that puts players in the suit of billionaire Bruce Wayne, just as much as it will put them behind the mask, deciding how to carefully navigate a complex drama, rich with action, crime, corruption, and villainy lurking around every corner of Gotham City,” said Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games. “The complex life and fractured psyche of Bruce Wayne has lent itself to becoming a bold evolution of the signature ‘Telltale’ role-playing experience, and we couldn’t be more excited as we prepare to debut the series to players across the world this summer.”"
Batman will also feature as it’s voice cast Troy Baker as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent (no mention of Two-Face), Erin Yvette as Vikic Vale Enn Reitel as Alfred Pennyworth, Murphy Guyver as Lieutenant James Gordon (not Comissioner so this indicates very early in Batman’s career), RIchard McGonagle as Carmine Falcone and Laura Baily as Selina Kyle/Catwoman. Again, no release date as of yet beyond this Summer, but it is being shown off later today shortly after Electronic Arts’ EA Play event so we may get some more details then. I definitely like the look of Telltale’s Batman game so far, we’ll see if the gameplay matches up.
