6. Where’s the Real Oliver Queen?

This isn’t a knock on Stephen Amell’s acting ability by any means, but more so on the writers. Oliver in the comics is funny—he’s always cracking jokes and using trick arrows. He’s also occasionally cocky. But in the show, he’s a completely different person.

Every second, he has the same serious look on his face. For proof, just look at the featured image of this post. Does he not know how to smile, or what? Unless of course, all those punches taken eventually got to him and somehow managed to affect his entire jawline, but I seriously doubt that. Someone needs to tell the dude to lighten up a bit.

At this point, it’s blatantly obvious that he’s become a Batman clone. Always brooding, talking about how he has to fight the darkness inside of him, blah, blah, blah. How many seasons have we gotten that routine for? All four of them! Enough is enough already.

And don’t tell me that one little Harry Potter reference in the last season is definitive proof of how he’s changed and become more comical.

Marc, you’ve got your work cut out for you. But if you can somehow realize how much potential Arrow has, then maybe there’ll still be a chance of saving it.
