First Clip From The Killing Joke Movie!
Check out the first clip from The Killing Joke Animated movie!
The Killing Joke Movie is nearly here! After what seems like forever in waiting it will finally release on digital download later this month (and a little later on DVD & Blu-Ray). While we have seen plenty of images and a trailer here and there, we have yet to actually see a full-fledged clip from The Killing Joke, but that changes today, courtesy of the latest episode of DC All Access.
After taking a few minutes to talk about things like Justice League Rebirth and The Suicide Squad-themed Legion of Collector’s box, they show off a clip from the highly anticipated animated movie. In it, Batman is coming to talk to the Joker, who according to Commissioner Gordon, has been imprisoned in Arkham Asylum for two years. He realizes that unlike other enemies, he and Joker are on a one-way path to each other’s destruction, and he at least wants to try and reason with The Joker before it actually gets to that point. It’s probably hopeless, but he at least wants to try. But it’s a futile attempt for reasons other than you’d think. Check out the clip below:

So in case you didn’t figure it out, the clip reveals that the person in the cell is in fact not Joker, which is probably why he didn’t talk. Of course that instantly opens a lot of questions. How did Joker get someone to take his place, when did he break out, and why? Of course, if you have read The Killing Joke, you probably already know this, but it’s still cool to revisit in animated form. The Killing will make it’s premiere at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, then release on digital download July 26th, and on Blu-Ray and DVD August 2nd. Look for a review from us at the latest not long after the Blu-Ray and DVD release.
