Gotham City Breakout: Joker Outsmarts Superman

Joker wins a battle of wits with Superman in this Gotham City Breakout clip

So look, no one’s saying Superman is dumb. I mean, he pays the bills by being an investigative reporter, you have to have some intelligence for that. But Batman and his most dangerous foes are playing on a much higher intellectual level. Take this clip from the upcoming animated film Justice League: Gotham City Breakout. Batman is on a sort of forced vacation and the rest of the Justice League is watching Gotham City in his absence. I mean, how hard can that possibly be for the combined powers of The Justice League to handle criminals Batman regularly takes on solo?

Well, it would be nice if Superman wasn’t conned into letting them all out by Joker, thereby actually causing the Gotham City Breakout the movie is named for. Check out the clip below:

Good going Superman. I’m pretty sure your ONLY job was keeping all those Batman villains in Arkham, and you let a clown with a talking spoon fool you into breaking them all out. No wonder Batman hates you. Now this, I’d be ok with him killing you for. Can the League actually capture a bunch of Batman’s worst villains without help from the Caped Crusader? Most likely, but it will be a hell of a lot harder than they think it is. Meanwhile, Batman’s supposed to be on a retreat visiting one his former mentors, but of course an old foe shows up to cause some major trouble. Justice League: Gotham City Breakout is out on Digital Download now, but will be out this Tuesday, July 12th on Blu-Ray and DVD. We will most likely have a review of Justice League: Gotham City Breakout up sometime next week, so keep an eye out for that!
